We are now planning for our annual eight-day partnership trip to the Canterbury School in Guatemala City. The purpose of the trip is to build relationships with the teachers and students of the Canterbury School. Although in the past, we have done projects on the grounds, this year we may be spending more time in the classrooms with the students. Although the plans aren’t definite, we may spend time at San Lucas Mission on Lake Atitlan and work in solidarity with the Guatemalans.
The specific dates are yet to be determined, but will probably be sometime in late July or early to mid-August, depending on the needs of the school.
The cost is about $1,200 including lodging, ground transportation, and airfare. The deadline for a decision is May 1, with a non-refundable deposit of $500. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian.
In order to allow more people to have this experience, we ask that if you’ve participated in the trip two or more times, you not participate this year.
