RECTOR TRANSITION
About the Rector Search Process
St. Peter’s is in the midst of a rector transition. We completed our Parish Profile in February 2024. Our search process focuses on the four pillars identified in the Parish Profile as we move forward:
- Welcome and Belonging
- Connection and Engagement
- Healing and Repair
- Direction and Discernment
In each of the four pillars of the Profile, there is a ‘What We Seek” section, from which we created a job posting. Click here to view the job posting.
St. Peter’s is a church on a mission: To embody the love of God as Christ’s heart, mind, and hands.
- We are people on a journey seeking to live in the way of Christ;
- We are committed to radical welcoming and deep belonging of all God’s children/creatures across racial, gender, socio-economic, and other differences and we celebrate an open table;
- We provide a safe place to ask questions and a supportive environment in which to live those questions;
- We reach beyond our congregation to serve others and strive for a just society; and
- We call forth, share, and honor the gifts of every person.
Search Prayer
Holy and immortal God, who has blessed and sustained us through the years, we stand before you at a time of transition in the life of St. Peter’s Church. We seek your guidance and help to lead us in the direction that will help us fulfill the life-giving ministry of your Church. Protect us from seeking our own will and all that prevents us from following where you may lead. Instill in us a right spirit of love and acceptance. Lead us to a faithful priest and pastor who will care for us and equip us for our ministries. And when we have discerned your will for us, give us the strength and courage to accept it and the resources to accomplish it. All this we ask in the name of your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen
