Albright College Chamber Singers Concert

St. Peter’s Interim Music Director Dr. Derrick Thompson is also the director of the Albright College Chamber Singers, a 22-member ensemble from Albright College in Reading. The Chamber Singers are coming to Philadelphia, and St. Peter’s will be the venue for one of their concerts. We hope that many parishioners and neighbors are able to attend, and the St. Peter’s Music Committee will provide refreshments in the church after the concert.
The concert will feature works by female composers, from Alice Parker to Ysaye Barnwell to Dolly Parton. The first half of the concert will feature a performance by Bella Voce (an a cappella group of soprano and alto voices), followed by Bona Vox (an a cappella group of tenor and bass). Then the singers will come together to perform as the Chamber Singers.
The Albright College Chamber Singers will also perform at Arch Street United Methodist Church (an outside performance) at 2 p.m. March 25.
