We are looking for summer camp counselors for SING Philadelphia, a one-week (June 17-21) classical music singing camp for elementary-aged children, with a focus on reaching kids who don’t have strong music programs in their schools. Based at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, SING Philadelphia is accessible to kids from families at any income levels, and we strive to welcome a diverse camper population.
To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to Associate Rector Sean Lanigan at [email protected].
Counselors work daily from 8:00 AM until 5:00/6:00 PM from June 17-21, working to build relationships with campers to ensure their enjoyment, growth, and safety. Counselors guide a group of about 15 children through the camp day; assist music, art, and drama teachers during their classes; plan games and activities for break times; and supervise before-care and after-care. Counselors must also be available to attend a staff training on Saturday June 15 from 9:00-1:00. This position pays a flat rate of $600 for the week.
All camp staff are required to complete background checks and pediatric CPR training (at the camp’s expense) and must be 18 or older by the time camp begins.
