Welcome to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Philadelphia. A theologically progressive Christian church, St. Peter’s is a safe place to explore or deepen your faith, a joyful place to worship, and a lively place to connect with others. We believe that God created all there is and declared it to be good. We believe that all people are beloved by God and are of equal worth and dignity.
Together, we raise our voices for justice, serve our neighbors and our city, and care for our planet and all of God’s creation. We invite you to participate in our life of prayer, learning, and service.
Worship With Us
We invite you to a worship service at St. Peter’s at our our historic church at Third & Pine Streets. Join us every Sunday at 11 AM for worship with organ and choir. We also have a 9 AM Sunday service for families with young children and a 9 AM Sunday spoken contemplative worship service. Learn more about regular worship services.
On Sunday, November 24, there will be no 9 AM worship services because of the disruption of the Philadelphia Marathon. There will be one service at 11 AM.

We are glad you are here and interested in learning more about our church community. We support one another though worship, prayer, fellowship groups, and other events. There is a place for you here! Fill out our online welcome form so we can get to know one another better!
For Families
Although St. Peter’s welcomes children at all times, a special service for young children and their families takes place at 9 a.m. every Sunday during the school year. We also provide Sunday School for children ages 6-10 during the regular worship service. Learn more about how we welcome children!
All are Welcome
Not only does St. Peter’s Church accept and welcome a wide range of theological ideas and perspectives, we also accept and welcome all people. We believe that all people—of all races, nationalities, and gender identities—are beloved by God and are of equal worth and dignity. Learn more about what we believe.
Food Cupboard
St. Peter’s operates a Food Cupboard to distribute groceries every Saturday from 8-10 a.m. at the Parish House. The Food Cupboard is managed by volunteers from the church, neighborhood, and community. Click here to learn more or volunteer.
Sing in the Choir
The St. Peter’s Choir includes skilled professionals and dedicated amateurs working together. We welcome all to sing, play, and enjoy making music to the glory of God. The choir rehearses Sunday mornings and sings at worship services. Click here to learn more.
Get Involved
We invite you to attend one of our small groups or volunteer to serve with a ministry. You are sure to find a welcoming group and an inviting place to grow your faith and meet others. Learn more about our fellowship groups.
